Outreach: Christmas In September

It's that time of year again! Tis the season to prepare for Operation Christmas Child! All month of September, we collect donated items to fill shoeboxes (in November) that are sent to children in need around the world during the holidays. Take a tag from the Christmas tree in the lobby and simply purchase the items on the tag and bring them back to church. You can also help by donating money to cover the shipping costs for sending the shoeboxes out. Each box costs $10 to ship. You can drop off cash or a check at the Connect Counter in the lobby - make sure these donations are labeled "OCC SHIPPING". If you'd prefer someone else to purchase items on your behalf, you can donate cash or check, and designate it "CHRISTMAS IN SEPTEMBER". Last year we packed 889 shoeboxes! We hope to surpass that number this year!
